Color Theme
I kind of like have the same blue since we're kind of partner sites with Heroes Wiki (having the same host). That said, green would be my choice if we decide to go with a different color. It's a bit more work, though...—Bigfoot Lover (talk) 12:59, 20 August 2007 (EDT)
- As time goes on and there are more contributors we're going to need to take the site in a particular direction in terms of design. The question is whether we want to mimic Heroes Wiki or take this one in an entirely new direction. Just because it's partnered with Heroes Wiki doesn't mean it has to look the same or act the same. This is an entirely new wiki and it'll be up to the community here to decide which direction it should take. Since the people who are here now are from Heroes Wiki it's tempting to just use a lot of the same things we use over there, but it's not a requirement. In fact, personally I'd like to see this one evolve separately from Heroes Wiki with its own layouts and colors for instance. If they both take different directions then there's also more possibility that one wiki will develop something that turns out to be very useful and gets translated over onto the other one. But really it's up to you all. We've got a clean slate here and the chance to be creative. :) (Admin 13:06, 20 August 2007 (EDT))
- Hmm... it doesn't have to be just one color. We could do green with a thick blue border to be original... just thinking out loud here... :)—Bigfoot Lover (talk) 13:16, 20 August 2007 (EDT)
- I changed it to use green and blue like I said. I think it fits, especially since we are using a green/blue eye for our logo.—Bigfoot Lover (talk) 14:36, 20 August 2007 (EDT)
- I think green is a fine choice, but I would personally go with a shade that's a bit less...loud. I kind of like #63AB62, #7BCC70, or even the much darker #006633. (Of course, I reserve the right to change my mind once I see it as a whole! :) ) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:57, 20 August 2007 (EDT)
- I've used this light green for the headers & blurbs on the main page and Links so far, and an even lighter green for the borders of those headers. I tried other shades for the combination, but I liked this one the best. #006633, #63AB62 and #7BCC70 are too dark to view with the black text, imho. Also, I'm trying to debug Episode: truncation, atm, and that's slowing me down from finishing the main page.—Bigfoot Lover (talk) 20:14, 20 August 2007 (EDT)
- I would use white on green (or, if you're going for a two-tone look to match Jaime's eye, then blue on green) for the headings. I just find the colors on the main page to be very obtrusive. Even if the layout looks nice, the color detracts. If you're set on using a light green and black, though, this is a much nicer color. Personally, though, I'd still go with a lighter font and a darker background. It's more dynamic in my opinion. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:06, 21 August 2007 (EDT)
- Thanks, I like this one. The reason for my wanting light green and black is cause I want to only modify the headers and I want the same font color in the titles and the body. Also, I've heard blue text on green isn't so good for the color blind—that's another reason to keep the black font.—Bigfoot Lover (talk) 02:34, 21 August 2007 (EDT)

Name of site
Is the name of the site BionicWiki or Bionic Wiki (with or without a space). The namespace is BionicWiki, and there seem to be more "official" references to it by that name, but I'm seeing it called both things throughout the site. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:04, 23 August 2007 (EDT)
- Admin posted the official name of the site to be 'Bionic Wiki' (with a space) when he started us up. However, the namespace is BionicWiki (nospace), which I agree can be a little confusing.—Bigfoot Lover (talk) 02:18, 23 August 2007 (EDT)
- I know. I wish I had named it "Bionic Wiki" when I set it up, but I didn't. I may try to change it sometime depending on how much work it's going to be. (Admin 02:24, 23 August 2007 (EDT))
- So should we allow both? It doesn't really matter to me.—Bigfoot Lover (talk) 02:27, 23 August 2007 (EDT)
- It doesn't matter too much. I've found that people will call it whatever they want to call it regardless. :) (Admin 10:01, 23 August 2007 (EDT))
- It's the same as Heroes Wiki, isn't it? That namespace is "heroeswiki", but everyone writes it with a space. So basically, what I'm saying (in my own long-winded way) is it doesn't really matter. — Lost Soul talk contribs my rpg 10:14, 23 August 2007 (EDT)
- Actually, the namespace at the other site is Heroes Wiki. Personally, I think it's nice to have consistency—it's one of the things I look for when visiting other sites. But I'm not doing the work to fix it, so I don't have much room to talk. :) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:52, 1 September 2007 (EDT)
