Besides his work on Bionic Woman, Jason Smilovic is best known for being executive producer/writer for the TV series Kidnapped (2006-2007). However, he was also co-executive producer/writer for television series Karen Sisco (2003) and a writer for the film Lucky Number Slevin (2003).

- According to SyFy, in August 2007, Jason Smilovic was made showrunner for Bionic Woman when Glen Morgan had decided to leave. Jason was supposed to be the showrunner for Bionic Woman for an agreed upon 12 weeks, with an option to continue if he wanted to and the show was doing well. However, he left this position in October 2007 when his 12 weeks were done.

- Jason graduated John F. Kennedy High School (Bellmore, NY) in 1992. He later graduated from the University of Maryland with degrees in political theory and philosophy.
