About

Bionic 360

According to a newspaper clipping posted on NBC's Bionic Woman website, Ethan Sommers was released from D.C. County Jail on June 2, 1970. He was protesting in response to the May 4th massacre at Kent State, and had served just over four weeks when terrorism charges were dropped due to lack of evidence.

Trivia

  • Washington County ceased to exist in 1878, when Congress passed the DC Organic Act that merged all of the District of Columbia into the City of Washington. Thus, there is no D.C. County Jail. The actual jail referenced is now refered to simply as the "DC Jail".
  • The Kent State shootings are a non-fictional event that occurred May 4, 1970. Four students were killed and nine others wounded, when members of the Ohio National Guard opened fire at Kent State University.
